Winter Wonderland

The trees and bushes are beautiful this morning.  I think it's from the "freezing fog" we had earlier this morning. The trees and bushes are coated in ice and everything looks like it's made out of snow. Now it's snowing really lightly. Such a beautiful winter day...and I'm so glad to be inside curled up with my pooch.

Windy Day

Took this video today in DeKalb. And yes, I'm listening to Miley Cyrus...don't hate.

The weather outside was frightful, but the snow was pretty!

This morning when I walked to school it was 5 degrees. I wore lotsa layers and was thankful for my pretty pink cashmere gloves.
Here is my new dark brown hair for my sister's wedding. I'm itching to put some pink in there and I shall after the wedding. Just a little more than a week and Atomic Pink and I have a date!

Hopefully my face clears up by next week. Since my thyroid hormone (TSH) is off, I'm having all sorts of symptoms: tired, dry skin, zits...yay!

But I thought I'd share with you all how it looked. It was so pretty.
This is the 10 foot high snow pile I parked next to.

Meeting the teacher

Today we went to meet Abby's teacher. While we were there, the tornado siren went off and we wound up spending almost an hour in the basement with the whole school. It was cramped and about a thousand degrees in there. Ick. I felt bad for the little kids who were scared and crying. Evan was just about to get on the bus when the siren went off and they brought everyone back in and put them in the basement. Not knowing this, I was totally freaking out about his safety because I was afraid he'd get home and we weren't there. OMG.

We had some pretty crazy storms here today. A funnel cloud even touched down by Josh's office. Luckily he was huddled in the basement with me at the time and not driving home like he would have been on a normal day.
