Progress!
Abby is up and getting around now! She is using her walker and wheelchair although the walker is a lot easier for her. She is able to get herself to the bathroom. We also taught her to go up and down the stairs on her bottom scooting along. The physical therapist she saw in the hospital suggested that idea and it works out really well. We are able to give her showers now after we triple wrap her left leg. Hopefully she'll be back to school on Wednesday!

It's been a very rough day today. On days like this, I like to remind myself of the things I have to be thankful for.
6 Things I'm thankful for...
*My family is alive and well.
*My husband's job is secure in this troubling economy.
*I am getting the education I dreamed of having.
*I live in a charming small town where the mailman knows your name and the mayor is also the town barber.
*I have amazing friends who are like family to me.
*The naughty biting puppy we adopted 3 years ago is now my sweet, snuggly and constant companion.
I saw this while walking on campus today. The snow can be inconvenient, but it's also so beautiful.

Quote for today
“When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
